James Watson
With over 12 years of coaching experience, Coach James brings passion, dedication, and a lifelong love for the game to every player he works with. He has coached across all levels—from Timbits to U16—including serving as an Assistant Coach for the U16 Provincial Team in Manitoba. Building on that experience, Coach James also brought his expertise to the University of Winnipeg Women’s Soccer program, where he served as Assistant and Goalkeeper Coach during its formative pre-CIAU era.His coaching journey also includes leading elite teams such as the Division 1 Women and Premier 1 Women in Manitoba.
A highlight of his coaching journey was the unique opportunity to tour the Fulham Academy in England and attend the U17 Boys National Team as a personal guest. Coach James also trained alongside top level coaches from England and Brazil during an intensive week-long camp in Manitoba.
For James, “Soccer is a way of life,” and his goal is to inspire that same passion in every player he coaches.
